Green Product Packaging?

I'm in the process of starting an eco-conscious t-shirt company (tees are made with organic cotton and water based inks) and I've searched high and low, to no avail, for eco-friendly, "green" packaging to use in two respects - 1) as packaging for displaying the item (ie: like a mesh drawstring bag of sorts or ribbon or twine to tie the garment with a recycled paper hangtag) AND 2) as packaging for shipping the item.

My main question is in regards to #2... Does anyone know of a company or a website where I could find "green" packaging options for shipping? I'm thinking envelopes instead of boxes since when it comes to planet-friendly less is more, and I'm also needing something light weight to keep shipping costs down. I've searched and searched and have yet to find the right fit for my business needs.

I've considered wrapping the garment in tissue and shipping it in a recycled paper envelope, but think in order to better protect the garment during shipping I should look for a plastic envelope. I'm thinking something like a waterproof, tear proof polyolefin envelope, but made from recycled material. Is there even such a thing out there???

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! And remember the key here is "GREEN"... there's plenty of packaging out there, I just can't seem to find anything green enough. Thanks a bunch!

Also the USPS Tyvek envelopes are made with recycled material.

There's also http://www.usedcardboardboxes.com/static_p...e.php&frm=y for larger shipping boxes....remember it's always better for the environment to REUSE instead of recycle since it doesn't involve ANY type of re-manufacturing process.

Best of luck!!!
