are there any regulations that i might need to go through in order to move my business from PA to SC? I was hoping it would be as simple as cancelling my sales tax in PA, letting my name expire in PA (does that even happen?), and re-registering as a sole prop in SC. Has anyone had any general experience with this? I assume things vary depending on the states but I was wondering if it was a problem for anyone to physically move a business.
thanks!

moving a business state to state
Posted 18 May 2008 - 08:36 AM (#2)
when i moved from ny to nm i had to close my business in ny (cancelling the tax stuff via formal letter or something). this was a few years back, but i called the place i got my business license and they exlained what to do. so that's my advice -- call and find out for sure in case it is state specific. then had to set myself up all over again in the new state.
moving is so stressful -- good luck!!!
